Executive Director – Non-Profit Fundraising and Community Raising Maestro 

The Torrance Education Foundation is seeking a top=notch professional Executive Director to lead their Foundation. We’re seeking a Master Maestro of small-medium foundations or associations. Like leading and orchestra, you’ll help guide our board, members, and community in pulling together to make beautiful music that has a profound impact in our Torrance Schools.

 

The Torrance Education Foundation raises funds through direct solicitation, grants and sponsorships, a community dinner, and other fundraising projects to provide support for Torrance Unified School District priorities. These include STEM programs for students at all grade levels and capital needs such as science lab euqipent, as well as college scholarships, and a variety of other needs. We are a close partner for supporting the 31 public schools in Torrance along with the Torrance Council of PTAs and our District leadership.

 

You’ll help guide us in determining what our membership model should look like in the next 3-5 years, you’ll craft a strategic plan to lay out a road map of milestones and direction, and you’ll help us become more efficient as the needs of our foundation grow over the next decade. 

 

Our ideal candidate will have made similar music as a Maestro in other comparable non-profit leadership roles as a Director/Executive Director. Our annual budget is in he $1.1M range and the number of professional staff members reporting to this individual will be two. You’ll have a multi-year track record of building membership support, improving community awareness and participation, expanding corporate fundraising and sponsorship, and developing innovative approaches to making an impact in your community.
