May 2nd, 2026 at 11:30 AM, join us for a lively BBQ Cookout by the Depot at the Torrance Cultural Arts Center, featuring line dancing, auctions, and plenty of Western fun. Strap on your finest spurs and round up for education as we come together to support our schools with great food, great company, and a whole lot of community spirit!

Skechers Friendship Walk

Our most walkers ever include 5,659 participants, marking an incredible milestone for our community! Congratulations to our top schools: Towers ES had the highest percentage of walkers among elementary schools and the highest percentage overall, Bert Lynn MS led the middle schools, and North HS topped the high schools. Schools with 50% or more enrollment participating were Bert Lynn MS, Towers ES, Hickory ES, Victor ES, Lincoln ES, and Wood ES, while Anza ES, Arnold ES, and Richardson MS reached 25–49% enrollment. What an outstanding achievement all around!

SBEA Summer Enrichment

This summer, our middle schoolers dove into exciting hands-on activities—dissecting pig hearts, launching rockets, practicing archery, cooking delicious meals, and learning survival skills. Our elementary students went full S.T.E.A.M. ahead, exploring different cultures through science, art, and more, while our high school students got a head start on the upcoming school year with focused academic prep. A heartfelt thank you to our incredible staff, dedicated instructors, and supportive admin team for making it all possible—and to all our returning and new families for being part of the SBEA community. Your enthusiasm and support helped create an unforgettable summer of learning and fun! Gear up for 2026!

South Bay’s Best in Education

We’re proud to celebrate Torrance Unified School District for being named Best School District, LAUNCH Preschool as Best Preschool, Carr Elementary as Best Elementary School, Casimir Middle School as Best Middle School, and North High School for earning both Best Public High School and Best Music Program. Torrance Education Foundation Scholarship 2025
